Not all "members" of the Michigan Protectors are active, and some may not even be shown below. The actions of associated members, good, bad, or indifferent, should not be seen as a reflection on the other members. We are all human, erring and succeeding accordingly, and we intend to treat others in a more favorable way than we would expect to be treated ourselves. We have failed and succeeded in supporting each other and in carrying out our missions. The important thing is that we keep our faith in check and continue to do what we feel is right.

BeeSting spent years training and operating in the defense of his fellow brothers-in-arms. After recovering from his injuries following his deployment to Iraq, and a little soul-searching, he realized that the person he had become was not for his own personal benefit, but for the benefit of others. Taking on a modified Army Cavalry logo, and a utilitarian-based "costume", he now helps others to set up their own neighborhood crime watches in some of the most dangerous neighborhoods in the country.

Attributes/Training: Self trained martial artist of 14 years. Acute sense of hearing. Specializes in de-escalating situations and reasoning with people. Leadership skills. Good endurance. Active homeless outreaches, crime patrol, neighborhood clean ups.

Growing up, kids always liked playing superhero. With the mask, cape and running around in the yard.
When Venge was younger, he wondered why no one dressed up to help people. Why there were no real superheroes.
At age 9, he met a kid with the same thought. At age 10, they made a small group together to help others. A few times, people they knew would get jumped, have their bikes stolen, or other things like that. To help reduce chances of them becoming targets, every time they went to help people they would wear a specific set of clothes they would wear along with sunglasses and bandanas. They figured they were the only ones doing this and dreamed of it some day spreading to the world.
When Venge was 19, he saw a youtube video of a guy with a full costume, belt and team being interviewed. He did some research and discovered a whole community of people called Real Life Super Heroes. On New Years Eve, 2010, using Venge as his code name for the first time, he and his friend did their first crime patrol together (in masks) in years. Symbolizing that things were going to change and this was who they were now."Being an RLSH isnt a job, its volunteering to help others. I've never done this for fun, attention or thrills. I do this because its whats right."

The victim of a brutal robbery at a young age, Sentinel came of age with the memory of a fear and helplessness that he never wanted to feel again. He chose to devote his intelligence and resourcse to helping others, even with the foresight that his service would complicate his life, and even deny many of those simple things that most take for granted. He is willing to give up those things to continue to serve others, and he'll do so until he is physically unable to.

As our only visually impaired activist and a survivor of brain cancer, he has become an example of what a person can endeavor to accomplish against all odds.
